A card for Ivan

So, a certain someone has been pestering me since I've started this blog to make a card for him.  Well, it just so happens his birthday is this month, so I've finally done it!  These masculine cards really present a challenge for me.  I seem to always gravitate towards flowers and such.

The card is based off of the CPS sketch 165.  I masked off the middle section of the card so that I could sponge and stamp the leaves in gray ink.  The stamps and sentiment are all from the PTI Through the Trees set.

Let's hope Ivan likes it....

Paper - PTI Stamper's Select White; Black cardstock - unknown
Stamp - PTI - Through the Trees
Ink - Memento - Tuxedo Black, London Fog; CTMH - Twilight
Other - Corner Rounder, buttons, hemp

  1. I think he will...I would

  2. Beautiful card! I love your colour combo!

  3. Great card.
So simple yet so elegant. I love the colors and the touch you added to the buttons.
I agree, it hard to make guy cards, I am so much happier with the girl ones.

  4. Very pretty card! Love it!! Come by my blog and check out my challenge, a new one will be posted tomorrow and this weeks ends tonight! Have a great weekend! :) :) :) :) :)

  5. It's perfect - he'll LOVE it :o)

Like you, I find guy cards challening but it's something I've got to get over and keep trying!

I love hearing from you!
